It is a known fact that all pens have a tendency to either fail on you or disappear. Have you ever noticed, o ye doubting Thomases, that it's a rare thing, for a pen to just run out of ink?
Of course they sprout legs and wonder off. Or they go to pen heaven from whence they ne'er return. That's the good pens. The bad ones get into your pocket and leak on you. Then it's the bin.
I think it would be good for all if we hold an international pen amnesty and offer them all a chance to return to their true calling, which is the help us write stuff. Their calling cannot be revoked and I'm sure they will all find it quite refreshing to take it up.
