We live in a suburban neighborhood. There are no creeks or ponds anywhere in our vicinity. It is late summer and the ground is dry and the grass is mostly brown. Small amphibians are not what you expect to find in your back yard, but we found one. Especially not ones that cuss at you by squeaking every time you touch them. That was also unexpected.
Does anyone know how such a little frog could end up where it did and survive the recent dry heat?
