The Coolest Band Ever

I've been watching music videos a lot lately, which, for anyone who is discerning enough to stray from the recent top 40 or top 100, is a healthy undertaking.

I like almost any style of music, and I always have, but there have been a few bands which have opened my mind to heavy metal and other heavy, intense, dark sounds. These include Tool and Czart (from Poland), but the greatest of these is Igorrr. Igorrr is a French band of apparent virtuosos who incorporate not only a strong dose of metal, but musical ideas from classical and folk genres, together with traditional acoustic instruments.

Admittedly it's not just the music but the incredible videos showing some highly experimental recording sessions, choir performances and above all some really amazing AI generated animations. The most outstanding, however, is not principally metal but an amazing marriage of metal with electronic breakbeat. Clever stuff.
